1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Gentlr™ (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by Pleasant Secret Labs ("we", "us", "our", "Company").

2. Description of Service

Gentlr™ is an AI-powered communication assistance tool that helps users transform their written messages to be more positive, clear, and professional. The Service includes:

• Text transformation using artificial intelligence
• Multi-language support and translation
• Usage analytics and writing insights
• Web and mobile applications
• Viewsifier™ — Premium LinkedIn post optimization for maximum engagement

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

3.2 Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

4.1 Free Tier

New users receive a limited number of free transformations. Once exhausted, a subscription is required for continued use.

4.2 Paid Subscriptions

• Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
• Payments are processed through Apple App Store, Google Play, or our web payment provider
• Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice

4.3 Cancellation & Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• Refunds are handled according to the policies of Apple, Google, or our payment provider
• No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period

4.4 Promotional Codes

Promotional codes may be offered from time to time. These codes:

• Are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash
• May have expiration dates and usage limits
• May be revoked if obtained fraudulently

5. Credits & Feature Costs

5.1 Credit System

Gentlr™ uses a credit-based system for tracking usage during the beta period. Credits are consumed when you use certain features of the Service.

5.2 Free Credits

New users receive 10 free credits upon account creation. These credits:

• Do not expire while the beta period is active
• Cannot be transferred between accounts
• Cannot be exchanged for cash or other value

5.3 Promotional Credits

Additional credits may be obtained through promotional codes. Promotional credits:

• May have expiration dates
• Are used before free credits when consuming credits
• Are subject to the promotional code terms in Section 4.4

5.4 Feature Costs

Different features consume different amounts of credits:

Viewsifier™ (LinkedIn optimization)	3 credits

We reserve the right to modify credit costs with reasonable notice.

5.5 Credit Depletion

When your credits are exhausted, you will need to subscribe to continue using the Service. Premium features like Viewsifier™ require sufficient credits to be available before use.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm another person
• Generate spam, phishing content, or fraudulent communications
• Create content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service

7. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-submitted content), is owned by Pleasant Secret Labs and protected by intellectual property laws.

"Gentlr" and "Positencity" are trademarks of Pleasant Secret Labs.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of the messages you submit to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the transformation service.

6.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Service, we may use this feedback without any obligation to you.

8. AI-Generated Content

7.1 Nature of AI Output

The Service uses artificial intelligence (specifically, Anthropic's Claude) to transform your messages. You understand that:

• AI-generated content may not always be perfect or appropriate
• You are responsible for reviewing and editing any transformed content before use
• The AI does not have access to real-time information or specific knowledge about your situation

7.2 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• The content you submit to the Service
• Reviewing AI-generated transformations before sending them
• Any consequences of using transformed messages
• Ensuring your use of transformed content complies with applicable laws

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
• FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
• NON-INFRINGEMENT
• ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF RESULTS

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The Service is free of viruses or harmful components
• AI-generated transformations will be appropriate for your specific needs

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLEASANT SECRET LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
• Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service
• Any consequences of sending AI-transformed messages

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pleasant Secret Labs and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Content you submit to the Service

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including:

• Breach of these Terms
• Conduct that we believe is harmful to other users or our business
• Upon request by law enforcement or government agencies

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
• We may delete your account and data
• Provisions that by their nature should survive (such as limitations of liability) will continue to apply

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Posting the new Terms on this page
• Updating the "Last updated" date
• Sending an email notification for material changes

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
